2011. THE year.

I had to organize my ideas and life in the last couple of years, and while I remained in research mode, there wasn't much progress as far as this project was concerned. In fact, I largely stepped out of the audio world to function in the performance world, both as a performer and teacher.

I am looking at more schooling and yet another move (this time, from Texas). This semester will be crazy, however, I plan to complete the bulk of the writing for audio chicks during the first half of this year. It will be my side project, as I work full time at Lamar.

Instead of turning this book into my Ed.D. thesis, I am going to finish it as a more edgy and less academic work, as originally planned. That means the research won't be as heavy, but the opinions and experiences of others will be more of the focus.

My big push is to translate the interviews from audio to text, and I have been avoiding that like the plague. I want to do this myself in order to be able to edit out what the interviewees don't want to include, and also to keep the research private until published (with the exception of full permissions from the interviewees).

Anyway, for anyone reading this, it is happening, and in its final push. PUSH!
